📄Homegrown Tamale Pie

For about 20 years, we’d been making a tamale pie out of the cookbook, Tofu Cookery, but more than a decade ago, it occurred to me that this time of year we could make our own version of this recipe using produce straight from our garden and substituting our own queso blanco for the tofu.

Happy homesteading!

The second surgery will be June 16 and in the meantime, I have...

I'm not sure how soon my eyes will be ready to stare at a computer screen again, so if you send me a message within the next couple days, you might be hearing from one of my teammates rather than me. 🐐🐑🐔🌿 Deworming goats correctly is about more than choosing the strongest product. This article explains the three main classes of dewormers, how resistance develops,...

Hello Reader, It's been busy on the farm this past week. Last Friday, with our son-in-law's help, we planted our tomato and pepper plants as well as some onion sets. Then on Saturday, we had our first half-day meditation retreat. I'll be working through Memorial Day weekend, both on the farm and on my computer, because on Tuesday I'm having cataract surgery. One of the things I'll be working on is getting ready for our first in-person event for Goats 365 members at the end of June. 🫑🍅🧅🌿 Milk...
