🏡On the homestead and in my life...

My husband Mike is hard at work removing moldy drywall and insulation from our basement. One of the downsides of building your own house is that you don't know what you don't know, and sometimes mistakes don't become evident for 20 years! The sulfur in our well water has eaten through the copper pipes, creating a plethora of tiny leaks just large enough to fuel mold growth in multiple places. In between researching goat topics, I've also been spending a healthy amount of time learning as much as I can about how mold can negatively affect human health and the right way to remediate, which is why this week's newsletter includes an article on that topic.

Happy homesteading!

It is not safe. It is not natural. And it is not a dewormer. In this new video, I break down exactly why this advice is dangerous and potentially fatal—and what you should be doing instead to...

In response to my email last week, several people sent me messages suggesting that I write a book. It's becoming clear to me that I don't promote myself and my products nearly enough! See my books here! I have written six books that were traditionally published. That means a publisher paid me an advance ($3000) to write the books, and now I get royalties when the books are sold. This is very different from self publishing, which anyone can do -- if they are willing to front all the costs of...
